The Darbar means Kings Court, the Darbar was used for his peoples daily needs and also for them to pay their respects to the King. Nobody would leave the Darbar without having a magnificent meal with the King.
The Darbar was lavishly decorated and furnished to the highest standard, for the comfort of his people.
We have tried to create the same standard and cuisine. Having traveled India and Pakistan collecting delicious recipes and having furniture especially commissioned and imported for your pleasure and enjoyment.

No other restaurant in their Curry Mile comes even close.
The traditional dishes are to die for.

I have been eating at the Darbar for over twenty years and though I have tried lots of other restaurants I always go back .Staff change and so has the ownership but one man has been there all the time and he is the chef (the best in rusholme)

I have been eating their since I moved in manchester with my wife , I was only 24 years old , Now after 15 to 16 years I still go to Darbar when I ever we have time for family reunion.
DARBAR is the one and only restaurant which is the first choice of all the family members , even my friends liked their food and services , the service is good and the food is marvelous.
Our all celebrations held in Darbar , the atmosphere is very good spot lights , slow and nice indian songs and with enough space to sit properly.

I Have tried many restaurants on Wilmslow Road - Rusholme many of them has good services and very nice food but the restaurant i have eaten in is Darbar Restaurant.
The food quality is very good and it tastes good, the indian atmosphere is suitable and the indian tradional music is on the top of everything.
The best thing I Have noticed is that they have frequently english speaking waiters, they have mantained the service department as good as it sould be.
